Show CENTERFIELD I NEWS ITEMS The Relief society held its social work- meeting Tuesday afternoon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. O. Hansen Han-sen as a benefit for the latter's son, Merrill Hansen, who is laboring as a missionary in Iowa. More than fifty guests were present and highly enjoyed the social and luncheon , features prepared by the ladies. .A purse of $40 was collected for the . i missionary. Mrs. Annie E. Lund, who has had charge of the Relief society work in Centerfield as president, was honorably honor-ably released from her duties Tuesday Tues-day afternoon. Mrs. Lund has been in ill 'health , and this is the reason given for her resignation. Bishop Chas. Hansen appointed Mrs. Hannah Han-nah Childs to succeed Mrs. Lund as president of the Relief society and the assistant officers to the new president will be the same as those serving with Mrs. Lund. Mrs. Hyrum Bi-oadbent of Nephi, and Mrs. A. M. Peterson of Gunnison, Gunni-son, were callers at the homo of Mrs. C. H. Embley Monday evening. |
