Show VALLEY FARMERS ARE NOW PLANNING NEW ACTIVITIES Activities in the farm bureaus of the Gunnison valley are shown to a marked degree by the organization of both Centerfield and Axtell. The recent drive resulted in many loyal members and,- extensive plans have been arranged for the summer -work attendant to farm bureau activities. The officers for the Centerfield local are Newman Beck, rtresident: Chris, gorenson, vice-president; O. L. Malmgren, secretary-treasurer; James S. Jensen and R. A. Fjeldsted, directors. direct-ors. The projects and leaders have been chosen as follows: Fire insurance, insur-ance, O. L.Malmgren; club work, Avery Beck and Naomi Christensen; farm accounts, Chris Sorenson; crop pest,s, C. O. Hansen and Newman Beck; divestock marketing, R. A. Fjeldsted. For Axtell, C. L. Despain has been named president; George F. Morley, vice-president; Lavern Larsen, secre- tary-treasurer; John Jensen and W. C. Simonsen, with the officers, comprise com-prise the board of directors. The projects and leaders named are: Railroad accommodations, Geo. F. Morley; cemetery, John Jensen; livestock live-stock marketing, T. L. Sorenson; farm accounts, W. C. Simonsen; crop pests and fire insurance, Lavern Larseri.' |
