Show Bold Thieves Raid Erikson Corral Carl Erikson is out one nice lamb and someone unknown as yet is enjoying en-joying the said lamb' at Carl's expense ex-pense and chagrin. Last Saturday night a man, or men with thieving instinct, did enter Mr. Erikson's corral cor-ral and remove a lamb, carrying it off some distance, and there skinning and butchering it near the Sand Pitch creek, the pelt, head and entrails en-trails were left as souvenirs, and the carcass carried away in a light wagon. wag-on. In committing the depredation the thief was very careless, leaving plenty plen-ty of indications that may lead to his arrest on the charge of stealing sheep. Deductions made by the lo-' cal officers indicate that the man or men responsible, came to the scene in a light wagon, with a horse that was accustomed to stand without with-out being tied, and had several peculiarities pe-culiarities of habit which were very readily noticed. Mr. Erikson has taken a lenient attitude in the matter and has not pressed the investigation very strongly, strong-ly, but should there be a repitition, he will spare no effort to apprehend the guilty ones. |
