Show Congressional Country Club at Capital THE opening of the 'Congression- al Country club at Washington Inaugurates a new era in country coun-try club history. Aside from the fact that the clubhouse, architecturally, architectural-ly, is the finest of the kind in the world equipped with the latest facilities facili-ties for every form of recreation from bowling to fox hunting; aside from the fact that its membership includes the President of the United States, cabinet ollicers, members of congress, diplomats, ranking ollicers of every branch of the service, and financial kings, the club enjoys the distinction of being the first country club for the country at large in America. Instead of being plutocratic, as its impressive roster would imply, on the contrary, It is extremely democratic. While belonging to the national capital, the Congressional Country club is national in scope of Interest and of membership. Business and professional pro-fessional men and women resident In all parts of the Uidted States, as well as In Porto Rico and the Philippines, helped build it, and belong to It.
