Show SEPTEMBER BRIDE IS i MOTIF FOR SHOWER ! Miss Lucile Sorenson, whose en-' en-' gagement is announced for early September, was the motif for one of the social events of the week Tuesday Tues-day afternoon when she was the honor guest at a "miscellaneous" shower given by Mesdames Niel Sorenson, Sor-enson, Wm. Metcalf, June Metcalf, Ray B. Metcalf and John Metcalf. At one thirty the guests, numbering num-bering thirty, gathered at the Wistaria, where an elaborate luncheon was served. The long tables were artistically decorated and a vase of pink sweet peas formed form-ed the centerpiece of each. After an hour enjoyed at the luncheon the guests went to the - home ,of Mrs. Sorenson where mah jongg proved the entertaining feature during the late afternoon. The Sorenson home, in keeping with the decorations at the luncheon, were carried out in white and pink. Seven tables of mah jongg were played and favors were won by Mrs. J. W. Jones, Mrs. J. A. Hagan, Mrs. Eva. Jensen, Mrs. D. H. WhittenbuTg, Mrs. W. J. Gribble Miss Iva Gribble and Miss Lucile Sorenson . Miss Sorenson, the honor guest, was showered with many beautiful and valuable presents, and consisted of linens, towels, handkerchiefs, bric-a-brac, fancy work, silver and china. |
