Show Novelty Stunts Feature at Fair A new feature is being added to the Sanpete county fair this year in the form of entertainment which ought to add materially to the fun and stimulate the fun making agencies agen-cies in the county, says the Messenger. Messen-ger. Practically every line of edeavor in the county is recognized as a legitimate legi-timate and worthy enterprise and prizes are offered for the best in that line. The last department to be considered con-sidered and fr which prizes have been provided is that of amusement. Sixty dollars in prizes are offered to the community or organization giving the best f if teen minute entertainment enter-tainment before, the grand stand. No limit is placed on the kind or variety. Forty dollars . prize and $20 second prize. Forty dollars offered for tug of war, eight men on a side; winners of .the first day $10; winners of second day $10. These winning teams will try for the championship on the 3rd day and the winners get $20. Fifty dollars for relay foot race, distance one hundred yards. The runners run-ners are to carry a flag representing iheir town. 1st prize $25; 2nd prize $15; 3rd prize $10. Tug of war on horseback, eight men to a team on horseback, bareback. bare-back. The team that dislodges all op- ponents gets $40.00 prize. One half of this prize is offered by the Manti Motor Co. Forty dollars is offered in a team pulling match. $25 first prize, $15 second prize. Here is one for the boys. Each day a dog cart race, 150 yards is scheduled, sched-uled, $3 first prize and $1.50 second prize. |
