University I Opens Sept. 14 i The Brigham Young University j will open its doors for the fall quar- ; ter on Monday, September M, accord-t accord-t 1 ' ing to announcement made by President Presi-dent Franklin S. Harris. Monday and Tuesday will Ik; registration dnf. s and class instruct ion will commence on Wednesday, September 12. "The University commences ii.s Fiftieth year under the most f:ivu -able circumstances it has ever ex er- - ienced," says President Harris. "'; he ' completion of the new Heber J. Giant Library building, together with nine . minor additions, gives the school such physical facilities as it has n r had before, and even though the enrollment en-rollment has more than trebled in Id;, past four years, we shall be aide to get along very well during the co:n- ' ing year." : "The faculty has been enhanced by the addition of some new scholars fresh from the big universities of tho land. Among them are Dr. V. M. Tanner, Professor of Zoology ami Entomology, En-tomology, an'l Dr. Joseph Sudwccks, J assistant !prolV. sor of Educational Administration, Charles J. Hart, instructor in-structor in Physical Education, Gcrrit de Jong, Dean of the College of Fine Arts. In addition there are a number i of old faculty members who will bo j back after leave of absence for study j and travel. |
