Show Silly Wanted Only His Mother for Christmas EVERYBODY in the school had gone home for the Christmas holidays. There was dead silence in all the corridors, cor-ridors, in all the rooms. Up in the In-flrmary, In-flrmary, however, one little blond head tossed uneasily. It was Christmas Day, and he was to be alone ! The door opened softly. Lilly looked up anxiously, but quickly let his head fall again. It was only the nurse. He was used to her perfunctory visits. "Have any packages come for me?" he asked. "Not yet," the nurse answered. Billy winced, and made a great effort ef-fort to force back the tears. Had even his mother forgotten him It was all too much. He suddenly burst Into a lit of crying and found it impossible to stop. There were hurried steps In the corridor. "Quick, Billy dry your eyes and keep still. Somebody Is coming. It may be the doctor and he'll be cross," advised ad-vised tlie nurse. The door opened quickly. "Where Is my dear Billy boy?" asked a soft voice. It was his molher. She soon lifted him entirely out of bed and had him on her knee wrapped In bis blankets. Billy continued to cry, but they were tears of Joy now. lie had no wish to even see the betutit'ul toys bis mother bad brought.
