Show Hi School Quintet Fine Aggregation That the basket ball fans of Gunnison Gunni-son will have a chance to see a real "quintet" in action during the coming com-ing basket ball season, whic opens the first week in January, is now assured.' Coach Bradley, who has the "colts" in charge, is getting splendid results in training and all boys are working out splendidly. The local team will be in action tomorrow, Friday, night, when it will combat a team from the Wasatch academy. The -two teams played at Mt. Pleasant last week and the Gunnison boys, though defeated by a score of 12 to 18, are going to give the visitors a "rub" and if they are victorious they will know they have battled with a fighting squad. The game starts tomorrow night at seven thirty and will be completed before the dancing party. Coach Bradley Brad-ley has lined up some strong players to compete in the Sevier division, among them being Newell Childs, Glen Stubbs, Newell Mortenson, Dean Erickson, Seymour Tassie, L. A. Foote, Elbert Modeen and George Bauer. In the Sevier division this season will ba seen teams from Gunnison, Salina, Richfield, Monroe and Bicknell. The schedule has not as yet been ar-' ranged but it is expected that it will be ready within the next week. Patrons of the basket ball game must not overlook the fact that immediately im-mediately following the game the M. I. A. will stage a "character ball" at the high school auditorium. This event promises' to be the leading social event of the week and many are planning to attend. Appropriate prizes are being offered for the best character costume and the compcti- tion is going to be keen. The "Foot-tvavmers" "Foot-tvavmers" orchestra has been engaged to furnish the music for the dancing party. |
