Show I Fremont Barnes, former Gunnison Valley residents. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Bradley, left for Manti Wednesday of this week. After a day there they continued their journey to Salt Lake where they will remain for some time. Mr. Bradley will attend the summer school at the University, and will specialize in physical education and music. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Kennedy of Salt Lake, were Sunday guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. D. H. Whittenburg. ' Mr. and . Mrs. Dewey Lund are rejoicing re-joicing over the arrival of a, fine baby girl born to them at their home in Centerfield last Saturday. . Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Beck returned Monday evening after enjoying a few days vacation at Salt Lake with friends. While away they motored to Park City and paid a short visit to Mr. and Mrs. Allred, relatives to Mrs. Beck. Mr. and Mrs. Neplii Gledhill and Miss Alice Gledhill were motor travelers trav-elers to Salt Lake City yesterday. They will be absent a week and will visit with relatives and friends. Dr. and Mrs. T. M. Aldous were among the hundreds that attended the annual commencement iexercises held at Logan last Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It was also the 10 th anniversery of Dr. Aldous' class and the reunion of the class of 1916, proved one of the enjoyable features of the exercises. Fred Leonard, state salesmanager. and F. E. Hermanscn, of the Herman-sen Herman-sen oiler Mill & Elevator, was a business bus-iness visitor to Marysvale yesterday. Mr. Hermanscn was conferring with merchants and resident of Escalante anil while there arranged for the sale of a large amount of White: Rose flour, manufactured by the local milling' concern. J. C. Jepson of Eureka, Nevada, came in fro;n the west last Saturday Satur-day and spent Sunday and Monday with his mother, Mrs. Hannah Jepson. Jep-son. Clyde left for Colorado points where he will spend a two week's vacation before returning to his Nevada home. Misses Ruth Pickett and Vyrle Larson, students at the Snow college' at Ephraim during the past winter,; are at home for the summer vaca-; tion. Miss Pickett, is assisting in the,1 office work at the Martin Peterson garage and sales room. Mr. and Mis. Roy Madsen, who came down from Shelley, Idaho, to attend the funeral of Chris. Madsen j last week, went to Fillmore Monday of this week. They will return to i Gunnison and after a brief visit here1 will go to Salt Lake to spend the! summer. Mrs. Elizabeth Swain, Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Childs and Miss Ida Childs returned Saturday from a week's motor trip to Idaho Falls, Idaho. While away they were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. E. D. Smith and also visited yith Mr. and Mrs. Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Christiansen, both of whom have been teaching at Hinckley during the scho 1 season just recently closed, were her for a brief stop Saturday. They remained over night with Mayor and Mrs. Christiansen and Sunday continued the journey to Provo, where both Mr. and Mrs. Christiansen will attend summer school. Mr. and Mrs. L. G. Anderson were host and hostess at a charming birthday birth-day anniversery dinner party at their home Tuesday evening of this week. The affair was to celebrate the birthday birth-day of Mrs. Anderson and only members mem-bers of the immediate family were present. Covers were laid for sixteen six-teen and following dinner progressive progres-sive "500" proved the enjoyable diversion div-ersion of the evening. R. J. Howard, local representative for the Central U. S. Swine company, and R. J. Parr, traveling salesman from Salt Lake, were transacting business at the county seat Tuesday of this week. Mrs. John S. Peterson, who had been absent at Drummond and other Idaho cities for the past five weeks, returned home Sunday. Mrs. C. M. Madsen, Mrs. H. S. Lin-nell Lin-nell and Marion and Odell Madsen motored to Elsinore yesterday and visited with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Franklin T. Nelson of Redmond, were here Thursday of last week to attend the funeral of C. M. Madsen. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Swalberg and James C. Jensen, were among those from outside points attending the funeral services held for C. M. Madsen Mad-sen Thursday of last week. the interests of their company the first of the week. J. W. Jones of this city and Bert ; Tuttle, the well known Manti stock-! stock-! man. motored to Panguitch Tuesday of this week.
