Imperfect packages in which goods of all kinds are shipped within the country and in foreign commerce cost the American public millions of dollars each year through damaged and lost goods, according to computations made by Department of Commerce experts. The department is now co-operating with trades and Industries in preparing instructions in the proper methods of packing. Eugene S. Gregg, chairman of the department's advisory board ' on packing, is shown with some "horrible" examples. |
