Show HELPS THE BEET GROWER Increased sale of beet sugar in states like Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Iowa is entirely possible and would help solve problems prob-lems of beet growers. It seems only rer.sonble to expect that when the farmers of these states realize how their purchase of cane sugar; injures their fellow-farmers in the intermountain irrigated districts, j the sale of beet sugar will advance by leaps and bounds. There! is a wonderful opportunity for beet sugar companies and beet grov- ers' organizations to carry on a campaign i.r the Missouri River j Valley states to increase beet sugar sales o.r.d thus automatically in-; crease the beet grower's payments for his principal cash crop. j The cane sugar sales would not be injured for they would be confined to states nearer the Atlantic se?ibo, ard. Both beet anu cane sugar would save long freight hauls with resulting benefits to all concerned. 1 I |
