Show ... MAYFIELD NEWS ITEMS. Miss Tressie Jenson spent last week at Axtell visiting relatives and friends. Miss Luedella Jacobsen spent the latter part of the week at Gunnison visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Voorhees. A married folks dance was given at the auditorium Tuesday evening. Many from Gunnison and Axtell attended at-tended and all report a splendid time. Arthur Bjerregaard spent Wednesday Wednes-day at Manti looking after important business matters. Mrs. Dena Nielson entertained last Saturday complimentary to her grandchildren, Lyman and Lenna, it being a combination birthday anniversary anni-versary party. Lyman was born on March 12, while Lenna's birthday came on April 2. Games and a good time were enjoyed and before the guests departed appetizing refreshments refresh-ments were served. Mrs. Hyrum Nielson spent the latter lat-ter part of last week' visiting with friends and relatives at Ephraim. Mrs. Evan Larson and children of Ephraim, are the guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. L. P. Jensen this week. Miss LaBriel Christensen was pleasantly surprised last Saturday evening, when twelve guests invaded her home without announcement. It was Miss Christensen's birthday anniversary an-niversary and a delightful evening was spent in playing games, following follow-ing which delicious refreshments were served. Mrs. E. C. Scow entertained at a supper Sunday evening, those present pres-ent being Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Nielson, Niel-son, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Whitluck, Miss Olive Nielson, Mr. and Mrs. N. C. Nielson, Mr. and Mrs. Aldcn Beal, Mr. and Mrs. Will Voorhees and Mrs. Ross Palmer. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Christensen of Axtell spent last Sunday in Mayfield visiting with relatives and friends. Miss Bertha Jensen was the honor guest at a birthday anniversary party given by her mother, Mrs. Martha Jensen, last Sunday. The little guests had a delightful time at play and enjoying en-joying the delicious refreshments. Miss Rozell Larson, who has been teaching at the Tabionia schools during dur-ing the past winter, returned to her home here Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Christensen spent last Saturday at Gunnison visiting with relatives and friends. |
