Show MOTHER'S DAY Next Sunday is Mother's Day. It is the day we pay reverence to the dear one who has long ago answered the call of the master, and it is the day we pay the high homage to the mother who is with us in life. Through out the nation love-respecting citizens citi-zens will hold the day in sacred love and honor for "Mother". We cannot can-not all have memorials of our mothers as we do of some of famous statesmen, states-men, but within our hearts every man and every good American can have a memory of thought within his heart for the kind and loving mother. And to show this respect, as. the custom has now been established, wear the white or red carnation or float the stars and stripes and show by your actions that you are thinking of that dear one Mother. Through decades the artist has painted the landscape. He has paint cd the mountains and plains and the ocean scenes, but none have painted the picture so dear, so true as that of Mother, with her wrinkled face, her expression of love and smile that will be everlasting. Mother may be living or Mother may have passed on to the end of her journey, but her love and the joyous memory of her should inspire every man and woman to bow his or lier head in solemn reverence on "Mother's Day." |
