Show Bryce Canyon Is Me:ca of Tourists "Eyrce canyon is proving the mec-ca mec-ca for the eastern as well as the western tourists and its is really remarkable re-markable the numbers that are daily visiting one of the most attractive and awe-inspiring scenic spots of America. During the past few weeks no less than 200 new visitors find their way to the canyon and so impressed are they that instead of spending a day to see the sunrise and sun set, many remain over several days." Thus spoke Archie Buchanan, Buchan-an, the well known Centerfield contractor. con-tractor. Mr. Buchanan came from the great canyon last Saturday and spent the 4th at Gunnison. He resumed re-sumed Tuesday and was acco.mpa.-l nied by his wife and. family and the latter will spend a month or so at the canyon. j Mr. Buchanan stated that it was really interesting to see- the newcomers new-comers at the canyon. They stand and gaze in wonderment at the myriads my-riads of castles, steeples, the coloring color-ing and the vast beauties of the "world's paint pot," and exclaim that Bryce canyon is, beyond doubt, the most wonderful bit of scenery ever seen. According to Mr. Buchanan, the management of the resort at Bryce! canyon is looking forward to even greater travel, and to this end, accommodations ac-commodations are being provided. Many new cabins are being built this ! summer and, in addition to these improvements, im-provements, an immense lodge is being be-ing erected by the Union Pacific company. The lodge is nearing completion com-pletion and will be ready to occupy within the next week or ten days. With the added accommodations, it is (anticipated that visitors to the great Blrycte- canyon will be more than doubled each year. |
