The writer will not ' attempt to varify any of the stories ' told by the retuning angles, but some ' of them are worth hearing. The fishing was extra good and ;ome 500 of the beauties .were brought back by the crowd. The sport on the opening day throughout the southern part of the state, was exceptionally good. Fish Lake, Loss Creek reservoir, Twelve Mile canyon, Daniel's canyon, maple map-le Grove, Sevier River canyon and Antimony were among the luring streams that drew crowds from Gunnison. Gun-nison. Pactically all from this point report conditions . better than they have been for several seasons and the opening day was greatly enjoyed by the sportsmen. Thus far there has been no reports re-ports of law violations and on the other hand the fishermen, many of whom are members of the Gunnison Valley Fish and Game Protective association, will put forth every effort ef-fort to see that violators are prosecuted prose-cuted and that, fish and game are properly protected within the provinces provin-ces of the association. |
