Show j LOCAL ITEMS OF INTEREST Miss Millie Kearns entertained for a number of her friends at a birthday anniversary party at her home last Saturday aftenoon. A social time was enjoyed and Mrs. Kearns received receiv-ed a number of nice presents. Delicious Deli-cious refreshments were served to fifteen guests. Mrs. II. S. Brinholt of Salt Lake City come in from the north last Monday. She will be the guest of her daughter, Mrs. S. M. . Duggins, for a week or more. Miss Eetty Villard, a student of the Wasatch academy spent last Saturday Satur-day and Sunday visiting with her parents here. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Madsen motored mo-tored to Salt Lake last Saturday afternoon af-ternoon for a breif visit. They returned re-turned honme Sunday evening. J. H. Neal and J. T. Mr. and Mrs. F. H. Beck of Gunnison, Gun-nison, and Claud Allred of Salina, were travelers to Salt Lake last Friday. Fri-day. They returned to Gunnison on , Sunday evening. Elmer Kearns has gone to Los Angeles An-geles for an extended business visit. J. H. Neal, who was called here from his home in Denver on account of the death of W. B. Marshall, has returned to his Colorado home. Miss Linda Bardsley, who spent the past week visiting with friends at Salt Lake, returned to her home in Gunnison Sunday. Misses Laurine and Beulah "West, Zena Bird and Leda Gates, of Salina were the house guests of Mrs. A. J. '.Thompson last Saturday. Frank Herbert, the Salina business man, spent a few hours here Monday i evening looking after business . matters. mat-ters. W. 0. Cluff, salesmanager for the iTelluride Power Company, spent sev-'eral sev-'eral days here this week. Mr. Cluff is managing a special sale of the famous Woodrow washing machines and he reports numerous sales in this territory. Mrs. Eva Jensen entertained the members of the Bonne Foi club at her home yesterday afternoon from two to five o'clock. During the needle-craft needle-craft hour the regular reading was given by Mrs. Clinton Edwards. Light refreshments were served by the hostess. The R. N. A. club were guests at the home of Mrs. H. P. Jensen last Saturday evening and a delightful time was enjoyed playing progressive progres-sive "500". Honors were won by Mrs. Albert McKenna and Mrs. Leo Gledhill. Following the session at cards delicious refreshments were ser ved. Mrs. Hart J. Sanders was the delightful de-lightful hostess to the members of the 0. N. O. club at her home in Centerfield Wednesday evening of last week. Needlecraft and delicious refreshments were the enjoyable features. fea-tures. Mrs. Fred Jones was hostess to a number of friends at a birthday dinner din-ner party complimentary to her husband, hus-band, F. H. Jones, Tuesday evening. They motored to the city Friday and spent the time visiting with frineds and relatives. Chas. Rasmussen, the furniture man, and A. F.
