Show Pioneer Woman Dies This Morning Another of the pioneers of Utah rand a well known and respected Gunnison Gun-nison woman, Mrs. Eliza R. Bartholomew, Bartholo-mew, answered the final call this morning at 8:15. Mrs. Bartholomew suffered a slight stroke of paralysis Tuesday evening and relapsed into a semi-conscious state, remaining so until death relieveed her suffering. When she was stricken she complained complain-ed at first of severe pains and medical medi-cal aid. was summoned and all that was possible was done to relieve the suffering. She gradually grew worse and when the end came it was peaceful peace-ful and in the presence of some children chil-dren and relatives. Mrs. Bartholomew was 73 years of age and had lived in this section for more than sixty years. -She was a native- of England and came to the United States when but three years old. She has one brother, William Metcalf, residing here. Funeral arangements will be made tomorrow at which time announcement announce-ment will be made. |
