Show Mr. and Mrs. F.. .B. Kearns and the Misses Jean and Frankie Kearns came in from Ogden Tuesday Tues-day afternoon. This afternoon, accompanied ac-companied by II . A. Kearns and Henry Kearns, the visitors will leave for Fishlake for a brief vacation. Mr. and Mrs. Vance Peterson, who spent the past several weeks at Centerfield, visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Peterson, left for their home at " San .Francisco Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Peterson, while in Utah, visited with relatives in several sev-eral sections and before returning to the coast expressed themselves as being be-ing highly delighted with their visit. J. LeRue Ogden, engineer for the Piute Reservoir ' & Irrigation company, com-pany, with headquarters at Richfield, was in the1 city yesterday in conference confer-ence with Claud Michaelson, a director di-rector of the irrigation company. -,,Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Halverson and 1 children are in the city from their home at Provo. ; F. ti. B. Gay, with the Scenic Highway association, was here the first of the week on his way to the southern 'sections. Mr. Gay is out primarily for making an inspection of the highways and he reports them in fine shape. He stated that Southern South-ern Utah was getting a big share of the tourist travel and that the travelers trav-elers were finding the road from Levan, through Gunnison, and the south was fast, .becoming a favorite ! and that the desert route was los-j los-j ing favor due to the extreme hot weather. t Reuben Christsnsen and son, Howard How-ard Christenseh, spent a couple of days at Provo last week. They were visiting with friends and looking af-j af-j ter business matters. Mrs. Loren Hill entertained 32 little friends at a birthday anniversary anniver-sary party, complimentary to her daughter, Pearl, last Saturday afternoon. af-ternoon. " Chris Thompson,, who has been absent ab-sent at Salt Lake for a few weeks past, visiting with his daughters, has returned to his home in Gunnison. Royal Buchanan, a former resident, was here from Manti yesterday. Royal is representing a Provo cleaning clean-ing and repairing establishment. ' Mr. and Mrs. H. R. Tietjen and children of Monroe, Mrs.- Druce Wadsworth and Shirley Wadsworth of Santaquin, and Miss Minerva and Jay Larkin of Salt Lake, were the house guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs.'M. D. Campbell of Fme"v were the guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs-:- William Baxter the early days of the week. Mr. and Mrs. Loren Hill and children chil-dren left for Bryce canyon Tuesday morning. They will view the grandeur grand-eur of the canyon and returning, will visit Fishlake. They expect to return re-turn Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Lund and Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Perkins motored to Salina Sunday afternoon and were the guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. N. P. Rasmussen. Mrs. Yetta Sorenson entertained for a few friends at a social time at her home Monday afternoon. Dainty Dain-ty refreshments were served at five o'clock. 1 park last .Saturday. Miss Adeline , Kunz, one of the head nurses for the Utah Copper j Mining company at Bingham, and a; sister to -Dr.- S. S. Kunz, the well known Gunnison dentist, accompa-i accompa-i nied by her friend, Miss L. Overton, were brief visitors to Gunnison on Tuesday. After lunch with Dr. Kunz the travelers left for Southern Utah where they will spend a week's vacation visiting Bryce canyon, the j Grand canyon, Zion's and others of the scenic wonderland. . Mrs. Elizabeth Swain' spent Tuesday Tues-day of this week visiting., at the home of her brother, William Gee, at Salina. j I |
