Show Mr. and Mrs. Lafe Bown and Miss Lucile Bown, of Provo, were Sunday and Monday guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Bown of this city. Clint Lundeberg, with the Tellu-ride Tellu-ride Power company, is spending a few days at Bryce canyon and Fish-! lake this week. He accompanied some friends from Mt. Pleasant. Mrs. Eldon Broadhead and son, Dee, came in from Kenilworth Sunday. Sun-day. They will spend two weeks visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. V. Sanderson, parents of Mrs. Broadhead . Mr. and Mrs. Lavour Clements and Mrs. Millie Kearns have gone to Salt Lake for a brief vacation. Before returning they will visit at Magna and other Northern Utah towns . 1 Mrs. Jens Hansen and Miss Lucile Lu-cile Peterson, who have been visiting visit-ing with relatives and friends at Salt , Lake for the past few weeks, returned re-turned to their home at Centerf ield Tuesday. , Miss Hulda Congrove of Draper, is the house guest of Miss Beyrl Bown. Yesterday Miss Congrove, Miss Beyrl Bown, Miss Oliva Bown and Mrs. Blaine Larson left for a trip to Bryce canyon. They expect to return at the end of the week. Mr. and Mrs. Claud Michaelson and Miss Iris Michaelson came back Monday from a brief auto trip to Grace, Idaho. Mr. Michaelson, one of Sanpete county's foremost sheepmen, sheep-men, was looking for fall and winter range for some of his sheep. I LOCAL ITEMS j OF INTEREST Mrs. Gladys Jepson and Ordella Kearnes entertained Sunday afternoon after-noon at a birthday anniversary party par-ty in honor of Miss Loretta Kearnes, who is leaving the .last of the month for California. Games and, music were the diversions of the afternoon; and at five thirty a dainty luncheon was served. Mayor and Mrs. Parley Christian-sou Christian-sou left for the north Tuesday afternoon, after-noon, their destination being Logan. They will be absent until the end of the week enjoying an outing. Enroute En-route they will be joined by Mr. and Mrs. Terry of Mt. Pleasant. M. D. Beauregard, the real estate and insurance man of this city, spent 1 several days in Milford Valley, look- ing over the new pumping system recently re-cently inaugurated there. Many of the farms, Mr. Beauregard stated,' are being successfully irrigated through the new syste-m and altogether alto-gether the valley looks prosperous. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Edwards were motor travelers to Salt Lake City yesterday morning. They will be absent unftil the end of the week. Miss Ada Sanderson returned Sunday Sun-day from a month's visit at Kenilworth. Miss Vera Jensen, . who has been absent for the past four months at San Francisco, returned to Gunnison Monday evening. Miss Jensen will remain here indefinitely visiting at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs . Marius Jensen . Miss Emma Christensen and John Christensen, who spent a couple of weeks here . visiting with relatives, left for their home in Salt Lake City Monday. They were accompanied as far as Nephi by Nephi Gledhill. Mrs. Ellen Hofheins, city treasurer, treasur-er, is spending a two-weeks' vacation vaca-tion with friends and relatives at American Fork and other northern cities. She left via automobile last Sunday morning. Hyrum Kunz, accompanied by his wife and family of Cedar City, were brief guests of Dr. Kunz of this city Monday. The Kunz family was just returning from a visit to Manti and were enroute to their home at Cedar City. Mis. J. G. Dcheity, who has bsen absent for some two months or more, visiting in Colorado, Michigan and other eastern states, has returned to her home at Centerfield. Mr. Do-herty Do-herty motored to Salt Lake Sunday to meet Mrs. Doherty. Mrs. P. C. Jensen, who spent the past month in California, has returned return-ed to her home in Gunnison. She reports re-ports a fine time and stated she was charmed with the beauties of the coast state. Miss Christie Lund of Salt Lake, and who was the guest at the Chris. I A. Peterson home for a week, left for her home Monday of this week. A. F. Bohman, a prominent stock-! stock-! man from Monroe, accompanied by his sons, Teddy and Marion Bohman, were in the city Monday for a brief business visit. The Bohmans were 'looking for lamb feeders, i j Chas. Richardson, chief operator, straw boss, and high executioner of the classy work at the News office, j spent last Sunday visiting with his I wife and the little Richardsons at ;Kaysville. Mrs. J. A. Green, who was taken I to the Salina hospital some ten days ago where she underwent an opera-I opera-I tion, has recovered sufficiently to be ! able to return to her home in this ;city. Her many friends will be glad j to know that her health is greatly improved. j . Chris. A. Peterson, accompanied ! by his two daughters, Misses Rosa ! and Esther Peterson, went to Salt Lake the early days of the week. The daughters will remain for some time visiting- ' with friends.
