Show Axtell Woman In Serious Condition Mrs. .loo IL-ndrickson, 10 years old and a bride of only a few weeks, was rushed to a Salt Lake hospital Tues- day afternoon for emergency treat-; treat-; mont, and when she left the Salina hospital, her condition was regarded as most serious. Mrs. llcndrickson i was suffering severe bonis in her tinoat, chest, arms and abdomen when she was taken to Salt Lake. Tuesday night, following darkness, j Mrs. Hendrickson, it is said, arose ; from her bed and went to the cup-: cup-: board to take a dose of cod liver oil. ' In reaching for the bottle in the dark-; dark-; ness, she made the fatal mistake by j picking up a bottle of lysol which ' was also in the cupboard. She took a copious drink of the lysol and, discovering dis-covering her mistake, spit the poison out and in her agony she spilled a , quantity of the lysol on her arms, i brear.t and abdomen. Her husband hurried to the side of his wife and gave what relief he could and then summoned heip. Dr. Don C. Merrill , responded and the woman was taken to the hospital where first aid help was given. The burns were treated, but when the throat, badly burned by the poison, did not respond to treat-i treat-i mont, it was deemed necessary to have the aid of a specialist, consequently conse-quently the woman was taken to Salt Lake. No advices have been received as to her condition. Mr. and Mrs. Hendrickson had been j residing at the Kenner ranch in Sal-, Sal-, in canyon, where Mr. Hendrickson was caring for sheep and cattle for his employer. |
