Show Annual Reunion ' Charming Success With a glowing bright sun and with , the hearts of the old folks of the Hamilton and Centerfield wards beating beat-ing with happiness in anticipation of the festivities before them, and with 1 the reunion voted as one of the best i held in years, the festivities held at ! the high school last Saturday after- ; noon closed with happiness and contentment con-tentment as never before. The bril-, bril-, j liant decorations, the splendid program, pro-gram, the elaborate banquet, the danc-j danc-j ing and all went as clock work and I when the day had closed more than 125 sought their homes with happy and peaceful, thoughts and an expression expres-sion of gratitude of the hospitality that had been extended. The 'reunion was a consolidation of the Hamilton and Centerfield wards and the various committees having arrangements ar-rangements in charge worked faithfully faithful-ly to make the affair a success. Many days before plans had been made to make the reunion a memorable one and this was accomplished. The afternoon pleasures started at one thirty when the honored guests and a few invited friends assembled in the large auditorium and listened to an interesting and varied program of songs, speeches and instrumental selections. "Chris. A. Peterson, general gen-eral chairman of the reunion, acted as announcer and he kept up a flow of : laughter and fun during the hour and J a half the program was being given. ' Mr. Peterson made his selections at random and caught many who were unprepared, but all responded. At. four o'clock the honored guests and friends repaired to the banquet hall where several tables were ladened with plenty of goodies to eat. An hour or more was spent at feasting and later another short program was i given. Dancing, exclusively for the old folks, was held between six and eigh and following a general married folks dance was given. |
