Mr. and Mrs. Farrel Douglas of Nephi spent Sunday visiting at the Will Douglas home. Mrs. Will Sorenson of Salt Lake is visiting at the home of her sister, Mrs. , Royal Whitlock. Last Thursday Mrs. Henry Jensen entertained at a birthday party. The guests were Mrs. John Jensen, Mrs. Alonzo Jensen, Mrs. Sidney Peterson, Mrs. Will Nielsen, Mrs. Rulon Jensen, Mrs. Chas. Jensen, Mrs. James Jacob- " son, Mrs. Lehi Olson, Miss Lida Olson Ol-son and Mrs. Ruel Nielsen. Mrs. Jen- " sen was assisted in serving by her daughters, Misses Geneal and Lucille. Mr. and Mrs. Lehi Olson, Bertram and Winona Olson were Ephriam visitors vis-itors Sunday. Saturday, May 1st, the Primary gave a dancing party at which the following fol-lowing program was carried out: Song, Sea Gull girls; recitation, La -.. Vona Frandsen; song, Maxine Jensen; recitation, Norma Nielsen; song, Lois Barton; dance, Blue Bird girls; recitation, recita-tion, Verna Larson; . Trail Builders gave their salute( code and song; story, Fay Nielsen; song, Blue Bird girls. The M. I. A. enjoyed a "weiner roast" Tuesday night at the school house. Miss Phylis Armstrong of the Grant school spent Sunday visiting her parents at Ephriam. Alonzo Jensen, Sidney Peterson and Deon Nielsen motored to Dividend Sunday, returning in the evening. Mrs. George G. Whitlock was hostess host-ess Friday to a number of friends in honor of her natal day. Mr. and Mrs. Oren Sorenson entertained enter-tained last Sunday at a family dinner party in honor of Mrs. Sorenson's birthday. Twenty guests enjoyed the delicious dinner served by Mrs. Sorenson. Soren-son. Tuesday night at 8 o'clock the Grant school will hold the closing exercises. The following program will be given: Vocation song, school; invocation; salutatory address, Vivian Sorenson; "Ten Little Sleepy Heads," first grade; class prophecy, Caton Langston; song, third and fourth grades; "A Surprise for Mabel," primary grades; class history, Mel-vie Mel-vie Anderson; song, first and second grades; address to graduates, Trustee ' C. L. Despain; "Our Confessions," fifth grade; vocal duet, Melvie Anderson An-derson and Lola Douglas; "Last Will and Testament," Russel Jensen; vale- dictory, Arzell Simenson; awarding of diplomas, Principal Royal Whitlock; Whit-lock; song, "Haste Away," school; benediction. The school has completed complet-ed a very successful year and much credit is due the teachers. Principal Whitlock, announces the following students as 'ready for graduation: Arzell Simenson, Melvie Anderson, Russel Jensen, Ivor Slaymaker and Caton Langston. Superintendent Nielsen of the Sunday Sun-day school announces that a special program will be given Sunday in honor of Mothers' Day. All mothers are asked to please be present. |
