Sargent made the trip, J .j. but did not appear in the lineup. On the way back a group of .j. the players were discussing in- teinational politics or - some- J thing. Ty Cobb was stretched out at the end of the car dozing. "I just wish somebody would -tell me what that guy brought me over here for," spoke up Sar- gent, somewhat disgruntled. .;. Cobb straightened up. g "Well, I'll tell you why we brought you along," he told Sargent. "Never mind," replied Sargent. "Tou are supposed to be asleep." And Cobb slumped back into a his seat. ':; ? |
