The forest service ser-vice officials have appropriated $2,-100 $2,-100 and all this amount is to bo used on this particular road improvement The opening of the road and the lowering of the steep grades will serve many purposes, stated John Barnard, ranger for the Fishlake forest for-est and under whose supervision the road wo k is to be done. It will pro vide better protection against fire and will afford flockmasters better highways to transport salt to stock and will be better traveling for those who go to that canyon for wood am1 poles. The canyon is one of the picturesque pic-turesque places in this section and the stream and shady nooks will afford af-ford fine camping places for outing-parties. outing-parties.
