Erickson of Springville, j were among the out of town visitors j here last Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Jensen of Clarion, Clar-ion, motored to Mt. Pleasant last Saturday to attend the Decoration exercises. They returned home Sunday Sun-day morning. James W. Cherry, justice of the supreme court, accompanied by Mrs. Cherry and son, Keller Banks Cherry were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. V. Cherry last Thursday and Friday. Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Nielson, former resident of Gunnison, were here from Castlegate on Decoation day. Miss Ovila Bown, who has been a student of the B. Y. University at Provo during the past winter, is at home with her parents in this city. Miss Bown will spend her vacaion here and expects to resume her work at the university early in the fall. day with relatives. Thpy returned the same evening and were accompanied accom-panied by Miss Clara and Farland Nielson, the latter will be here for several days visiting at the home of the Ludvigsons. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd A. Beck and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Norman, spent last Sunday picnicing at the Clear Creek canyon. Mr. and Mrs. N. C. Muryp and daughter Mae, of Provo, were in Gun nison last Thusday on a combined business and pleasure trip. Mrs. Francis Tate of Heber city, is here and is the guest at the home of her parents. Mr. and Mrs. William Bardsley. Mrs. Ttate expects to be here for two weeks or more. Arnold Hendrickson who is employed employ-ed at McGill, Nevada, was here for a brief visit to relatives and friends last week. Dan Argyle, representing Seeley-t Seeley-t Hinckley, auto dealers at Mt. Pleasant, Pleas-ant, was here the first of the week, talking Dodge cars, which his company com-pany handles. Miss Ruth Perkins of Provo, and Otto Lomolder of Salt Lake, were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Perkins Per-kins last Sunday. Blain Perkins of Provo, has been spending the weelc with his grand- parants, Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Perkins. Miss Erma Lundeberg, recently returned re-turned from a mission to the eastern states, left yesterday morning for LOCAL ITEMS OF INTEREST C. H. Childs, accompanied by his daughters Ida and Beth, have returned return-ed from a visit to McGill Nevada. They motored to the mining camp, accompanying Mrs. L. L. Childs, who has gone there to join her husband. William Titcum of American Fork was the guest over Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John S. Peterson. Peter-son. Kenneth Sorenson and wife of Manti, spent Sunday in Gunnison as the guests of relatives and friends. Mrs. F. L. Copening and Miss Nina Copehing of Los Angeles and Mrs. C. A. Fen-en and Mrs. Pingree of Salt Lake are the house guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Knighton this week. Mrs. Sylvester Pierce and her daughters, dau-ghters, Miss Joyce Pierce and Mrs. Kate Jensen who spent the winter win-ter at Provo where they have been attending school, will return, to Gunnison Gun-nison tomorrow and again take up their residence here. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Madsen of Shelley, Shel-ley, Idaho, were here last Saturday to obcerve memorial day and to visit with relatives and friends. Mr. Mad sen went to Salt Lake Monday where he will undergo an operation by having hav-ing his tonsils remover. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Sheffield! and son, Russell, of Kaysville, and who spent several days at Center- Saft 'Lake MissLundebetrg expects to be absent for several months. Mr. and Mrs. Grant :. jNjelson of Richfield, were here last Sunday visiting vis-iting with friends and relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Taylor of Salt Lake, were here for Decoration day. They motored from the capitol city Friday and returned Sunday field visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Beck, returned north the first of the week. MetcaJf motored to SpringTille last Friday and spent the morning. Fred N. Swalberg, the stockman from Marysvale, was here for a bi'ief visit last week. On his return he was accompanied hy his daughter, Mrs. Fletcher Peterson. The latter will spend a week or ten days at Marysvale. Mr. and Mrs. Glen L. Hansen and Philo Peterson of Morgan, Utah, were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Fletcher Peterson last Thursday. Manager Fletcher Peterson of the Gunnison Coop spent Saturday and Sunday with friends at Salina. |
