Show LOCAL ITEMS OF j INTEREST. ! . j Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Anderson were the guests of relatives and friends at F.phraim the early days of the week. W. B. McCormack of Salt Lake, returned re-turned to his home Monday after spending a week here as the guest j of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald C. Norman. Miss Roberta Childs left last Sunday Sun-day for a ten-day visit with friends in the north. She will spend some time at Salt Lake and later will go to Preston, Idaho. . Mr. and Mrs. Birney Farnsworth of this city, have returned after a i delightful vacation trip to Nephi. j They were the house guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Belliston. Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Childs spent a 1 few days at Ephraim this week. They accompanied Miss Tursel and Gilbert Childs to the school town after the latter ahd spent the holidays here. Mrs. J. A. Hagan entertained at a holiday dinner party at her home Thursday evening of last week. Only On-ly immediate members of the family were present. Following dinner cards were enjoyed until a late hour. Mr. and Mrs. O. H. Halverson of Salt Lake City, are here this week as the guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ray B. Metcalf. Mr. Halverson will return the latter part of the week and Mrs. Halverson expects to he here until later in the month. Mr. and Mrs. G. t. Peery have returned re-turned from a two-weeks' vacation trip to Salt Lake, Payson and other northern cities. On their return they were accompanied by Mrs. A. P. Peery, mother to Mr. Peery. The latter expects to be here for some time. The Ligenti club members were the guests at . the home of Lazella Beck at Center-field Thursday evening of last week. An enjoyable time was had at needlecraft and at ten-thirty a delicious lunch was served to the ten members present. The next meeting of the club will be at the home of Lavona Beck. Many of the young folks who attended at-tended the Legion dance in this city . Monday, joined the throngs at Sa-lina Sa-lina in celebrating the installation of the lighting system and the comple- tion of the city paving. Salina held an all-night function and it is report-' report-' ed that the affair was a huge success. Four dance halls were crowded and preceding the dancing all enjoyed a feast at the barbecue. |
