Show Farmers Meeting Vitally Important Gunnison Valley farmers, who are interested in the welfare of the farm bureau movement and who would aid materially in the betterment of their own conditions are advised that there will be an ifnportant meeting at the Gunnison Valley high school Wednes-da Wednes-da night, January 9th. George B. Cox, president of the Sanpete County Coun-ty farm bureau, has addressed letters to all presidents and is urging wide publicity of the coming meeting and insists that a full attendance of members mem-bers and those who are not members be present. Two important matters will be up for discussion sugar beets and taxation. taxa-tion. Ephraim Bergeson, president of the state organization, E. T. Capener, chairman of the state tax committee, L. R. Anderson, P. P. Dyreng and David Beal, comprising the county farm bureau tax committee, commit-tee, Mr. Cox and C. 0. Stott, county agent, will be among those from out- side points attending the meeting. Many of the, visitors will make addresses ad-dresses and matters of vital importance import-ance will be taken up and discussed, among the most important being the sugar beets and taxation. As a preliminary meeting to the Wednesday meeting, a session of the directors of the county has been called call-ed to convene at the county agent's office in Manti, Tuesday, January 8, at one o'clock p. m. Every local president presi-dent has been invited to take part in this meeting. President Bergeson and Mr. Capener will be at the Manti meeting. |
