Show former Residents Suffer Fire Loss The home occupied by A. J. Swain at Gold Hill, Utah, where the Swain ' family has been residing for the past Several months, was totally destroyed destroy-ed by fire, July 14, according to advices ad-vices received by relatives here. All the clothing, some pay checks which -I Mr. Swain and the boys had received only a few days before the fire, to- gether with about $30 worth of gro-! gro-! eeries, wefe destroyed before they could b rescued fro mthe flames Mrs. Swain was at home alone and was doing her baking and housework when the flames broke out in the kitchen. Before rescurers arrived the home was a mass of flames and it took the concerted effort of the volunteer vol-unteer fire men to save the adjoining adjoin-ing buildings. The Swains are well known here, being former residents and they have hosts of friends who j regret to hear of their loss. |
