Just as soon as the I rangers have submitted the report of I the number of bucks killed on the Manti Forest, the public will be advised. ad-vised. A number of dead does have I been seen by hunters who shoot the i first deer they see and look for horns ! afterwards. ' One of the local game wardens in Manti Canyon caught a young man who had killed a doe and brought the carcass to town. The deer was auctioned off and brought $10.00. The boy was fined $200.00 with a suspension of part of I he fine. Many of the hunters are demanding de-manding that the law be changed so i as to prohibit anyone hunting until he is 21 years of age, since the 'justice, as well as the general public. occasionally ai'e more or lcs.: with offenders when they are young boys. Where a man is 21 years old he is responsible while boys under 21 years, who violate the law, bring all the expense upon their parents. Owing tr the dry weather during tho huniting season, deer hunters report that the deer were fairly numerous but very hard to shoot.
