Frank, prorietor of the Gunnison Co-op., was here several days this week looking after business interests. Misses Ethel and Gertrude Sharp of Salt Lake, and Mr. and Mrs. George Nelson of Ephraim, were the guests of Mrs. M. P. Sorenson on Monday of this week. Rev. Russell Woltz, who has just returned re-turned from a trip to Ohio, announces that regular services will be resumed at the Presbyterian chapel in Gunnison. 1 he first services will be held at 'the chapel next Sunday evening, beginning at 8 o'clock. Miss Dorothy Smith, 10 years old, came in Tuesday night unaccompanied from Manteco, California. Miss Dsrothy is a sister of W. E. Smith of the main offices of the Gunnison Valley Sugar factory at Centerfield and she expects to sbend some time visiting here. Victor Warner, the New York mer-ehant, mer-ehant, accompanied by Mrs. Warner, were Gunnison visitors for a brief stay Tuesday evening. They were here with L. Erank and Mr. Warner was on his way to Richfield where he has large nterests in the mercantile business. Robert Hinchcly, president of the Seeley-Hinckley Auto company, Mt. Pleasant, was here Wednesday in the interests of his company. Mrs, Roy Madsan left for Salt Lake yesterday morning. She will be at the capitol city for some time visiting with her husband who is attending summer-schoel summer-schoel at the university. Mrs. Hyrum Pingree, Mrs. F. L. Copening, the Misses Ellen and Nina Copening and Mrs. E. J. Kearns, motored from Salt Lake Tuesday and were the house guests of Mr. and 'Mrs. J. M. Knighton for a few days. Mrs. R. H. Winder and Miss Mary Winder, mother and sister to Mrs. J. W. Jones, are here from Salt Lake City. They will be the house guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jones until after the Fourth of July. Friends in Gunnison of Mr. and Mrs. Abe Reigert, now residents of Monroe, have been advised of the arrival of a baby girl at the Reigert home. The, little Miss arrived last Friday noon and reports from the home are to the effect that all aredoing nicely. Howard Norman, who has been with the Bear Drainage company at Layton for the past two months, returned to Gunnison Tuesday evening and will spend the fourth of July with his parents. He will retuin to his work shortly after the first of next week. |
