Lester Les-ter Fredrickson, pitching for the Kings, had a mile of blood in his eye, and again he gave a splendid exhibition exhi-bition of what he can do when he wants to. As an introduction, the King pitcher started out by facing three of the visiting batters. In one, two, three order, he retired them. This happened for two innings and evidently had the effect of perching, the "hoodoo" on the shoulders of the visitors, because they -could not make a showing. Erickson, on the mount for Rich-'field, Rich-'field, was entirely out of form, and the Kings had little trouble in locating locat-ing him. His support, too, was weak, and the victory for the Kings was an easy one. Sanders, of the King bunch, stepped out and established a new record in baiting. In six times at bat he hooked five bits, all of them counting for runs or advances. Ernest Er-nest and Harold llalverson staged a double steal with two of their associates as-sociates out and won the plaudits of the fans. Salina Beats the Kings In one of the hardest fought battles bat-tles between the Salina players and tho Gunnison Kings at the Salina diamond dia-mond last Sunday afternoon, Salina nosed out with a single run that defeated de-feated the Sugar Kings. The score at the end of tho eleventh i nui nyr stood ten to eleven. . The game was filled with errors, both teams sharing the honors, and when the Kings went in for their time at bat in the ninth inning, they were short four runs. With a litllo exertion, however, and a demonstration demonstra-tion of classy playing, they scored five runs, taking the lead with mm run. This did not last long. When Salina went tip in her half of t ninth, an error allowed a run : c them, and Ihe snore stood ten to leu. In the tenth inning neither team was able to scoro and when tho Kings went tip for the elcvcnlh inning they were retired without a run.
