Show Centerfield Will Celebrate Fourth Centerfield will celebrate Inde- j pendence day with a splendid pro-j gram. In the forepart of the day the j program will be given, and this feature fea-ture will be pleasing. In the afternoon after-noon there will be children's dance and a big program of sports, and the festivities will conclude with a grand ball in the evening. With Brigham Jensen as general chairman, supported sup-ported by the Sunday school of ficevs : and teachers as assistants, a rousing timo is in store for all, and those who attend will long remember the celebration in Centerfield. The extreme hot weather and cool nights are creating a splendid growth of crops. J. H. Simonsen has been sustained as second assistant superintendent of the Centerfield Sunday schools. Chris. A. Peterson has returned from Fallon, Nevada, where he has been acting as field manager for the sugar company at that place since the beginning of the season's work. Mr. Peterson reports the crops in Nevada, Ne-vada, and in southern California where he also visited, in a favorable condition. He has returned to look after his large farm interests here and he expresses himself as highly pleased with the present outlook for the beet crop in Gunnison valley, all indication showing that this year's production will be a bumper crop. Bishop Soren Anderson, accompanied accom-panied by his family, was called to Ephraim last Monday, to attend the funeral of his sister, Mrs. William Ti.osea.uist, formerly of Centerfield. Mrs. Rosequist died in one of the Salt Lake hospitals following an operation. op-eration. Mrs. W. It. Jensen and daughter, of Green River, Wyo., are visiting relatives and friends here. They arrived ar-rived Tuesday of last week and will remain here for some time. C. H.
