Show URGES BIG TONNAGE Ephraim Bergeson, president of the Utah State farm bureau, spent a couple of days in the valley last week confering with local farm bureau members and business men on the importance im-portance of raising sugar beets. Mr. Bergeson addressed a few of the business busi-ness men Friday. Later he visited with a number of the beet growers and urged that the largest tonnage possible should be raised. Mr. Bergeson Berge-son was strong for supporting the sugar factories of the state and intimated in-timated that unless the farmers backed back-ed up the factories, there would be no factories. A big tonnage, he stated, stat-ed, insures the success of the factories fac-tories and the success of the factories factor-ies means the success of the farming communities. |
