Show Popular Woman Dies at Axtell , Mrs. Rachel Roadman Durfee, aged 22 years, passed away at the home of her sister, Mrs. James Jacobson of Axtell, last Saturday, following childbirth. child-birth. Mrs. Durfee was very popular in Axtell and her sudden death was a shock to her many friends. The deceased de-ceased was born In Canfield, Colo., and was the wife of Charles Durfee. She is survived, besides the sorrowing sorrow-ing husband, by three children, the youngest being but a few days old, a brother, George Roadman of Weiser, and two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Christiansen Christian-sen of Weiser, Idaho, and Mrs. James Jaeobsen of Axtell. Impressive funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock at Aurora, where final interment was made. Appropriate music, and eulogies eulo-gies from a number of speakers, made Ihe services most impressive. George Christensen of Weiser, Ida., a relative of Mrs. Durfee, who died very suddenly last Saturday, attended the funeral services which were held at Aurora last Tuesday. Mrs. A. S. Jensen and son, Morris Jensen, and Mrs. Harold Sorenson, were Mt. Pleasant visitors last week. They attended the reunion given by the Monson family. A new baby boy has arrived at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Anderson. Ander-son. Mr. and Mrs. Truman Sorenson are rejoicing over the arrival of a baby girl. Mrs. Plumas Royden and children of Boise, Idaho, are visiting at the home of Mrs. W. H. Nielsen. Mrs. r.oyden was called here on account of the illness of her mother, Mrs. Nielsen. |
