Show Following dinner a pleasant eveing was spent in games, music and other enjoyable enjoy-able pastimes. The members of the Bonne Foi club were the guests at the home of Mrs. Leo liardsley yesterday a fternoon. The reading, during the needlecraft hour, was given by Mrs. T. M. Kearns. Light refreshments were served at five o'clock by the hostess. Little Edward Argist was the honor guest at a party given for him by his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Argist at Centerfield last week. Twenty uests were present and a joyous time was had by the little ones. Young Edward Ed-ward received a number of pretty gifts. Little Gertrude Edwards, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Edwards, reached her fifth milestone last Tuesday and celebrated the event by entertaining several of her little frieods at an afternoon after-noon party. The usual good time at play and a delicious luncheon were the features of the party. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Hendrickson are receiving the congratulations of their host of friends over the arrival of an 8-bound 8-bound baby boy born to them last Tuesday Tues-day morning. Mrs. Hendickson is the laughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Mad-sen Mad-sen and the advent of a boy, the first one, is joyous news to all. Mrs. San ford Anderson delightfully entertained many of her friends Wednesday Wed-nesday afternoon from two to five thirty it an anniversary parly. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Hansen of Sterling Sterl-ing were made happy last Sunday by the arrival of a baby boy at their home. Mr. and Mrs. Clarnce Jensen of Sterling Sterl-ing were the house guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. Argist at Centerfield last Sunday. Sun-day. Mr. and Mrs. Arvill Speckhart of I'rovo, were registeeed at the Gunnison hotel Monday and Tuesday of this week. Mrs. Leone Buhanin of Mayfield, spent several days this week visiting with her sister, Mrs. A. N. Voorhees of this city. Mrs. W. S. Tollestrup of Salt Lake, js spending a couple of weeks visiting with her parents, Mr. and C. L. Thorp at Axtell. Misses Lois and Helen Overfelt were among those attending the Christain Endeavor convention at Mt. Pleasant yesterday. Miss Helen Larson of Mt. Pleasant, wns the guest of Miss Margaret Johr-on Johr-on in this city last Saturday nrd Sunday. Miss Minerva Anderson, who had been the house guest of her sister, Mrs. Leo 4 Bardsley, returned to her home at Moroni last Saturday. , Ben Roper and Miss Jesse Peterson motored to Mt. Pleasant last Sunday and spent the day with Miss Vada Peterson, Peter-son, a student of the Wasatch academy Miss Edna Cle'memts of American Fork, came in the first of the week. She will be the guest of her aunt, Mis. J. S. Peterson during the major portion of the summer. Alex W. Christensen, sales manager for the Urado Oil Refining company, with headquarters at Salt Lake, spent last Saturday and Sunday looking after business interests in Gunnison. Hal W. Taylor, superintendent for the Gunnison Valley Sugar company, left hurridly for Salt Lake Tuesday night. . Mr. Taylor was called to Salt Lake headquarters on important business matters. Mrs. W. E. Smith was hostess to a number of the mempers of the Gunnison Gunni-son Glee club and their wives Wednesday Wednes-day evening. Cards and music were enjoyed, following which light refreshments refresh-ments were served. Willis Christensen, who has been suffering suf-fering for some months past with poor health, left for Salt Lake Tuesday morning. morn-ing. He will consult with a speaialist. He was accompanied by his mother, Mrs. Titus Christenseu. The poisoned oats which is to be used in the squirrel destruction campaign this month, is now ready for distribution. Hagan was hostess at an anniversary party at her home Wednesday Wednes-day afternoon from two thirty to seven o'clock. At six o'clock a dinner was served to twelve guests, immediate relatives rel-atives and members of the family. Mrs. O. Christensen delightfully entertained en-tertained the faculty of the Lincoln school at her home in Centerfield Thursday Thurs-day of last week.
