Show Isue Bulletin On Pageantry Fete The state wide movement of the Pilgrim Tercentenary Celebration which was launched in Utah by the state committee last week is being well received throughout, the state, according to Professor B. Roland Lewis head of the English depart ment of the University of Utah, who. as state chairman, is visiting different differ-ent parts of the state arousing inter-Zest inter-Zest and aiding in the organization of Pilgrim Tercentenary Celebration committees. As a part of the preparation for the celebration of the Pilgrim Tercentenary Ter-centenary a course in pageantry writing was given at the summer session ses-sion of the University of Utah for the purpose of aiding the state and national na-tional movement. By offering this course for the teachers at the summer sum-mer school Professor Lewis hoped to have many original pageants written writ-ten for the numerous community oh- hervances. Dartmouth and Columbia were the only other colleges in the entire country to offer such courses. Five states other than Utah although the course was of short duration, hud representatives in this class at the university. A bulletin has just been issued by the Extension Division of the University Univer-sity of Utah on "Pageantry and the Pilgrim Tercentenary Celebration" wheih was especially prepared by ' Professor Lewis as an aid in the Utah celebration of the Tercentenary. This bulletin gives the history of the imovement, the state work on the Tor-centenary Tor-centenary observance and definite and adequate information for the writing and presentation of a pas-leant. pas-leant. Four pageants, two of them written at the University, are given in the appendix, with an extensive bibliography for reference. The bulletin bul-letin also gives suggestions for other programs and ways of observing the landing of the' pilgrims.
