Show Urges Publicity Scenic Wonders II. M. Gushing, district passenger agent for the Denver & Rio Grande Western railroad, with headquarters at Salt Lake, was in Gunnison for a few hours hours yesterday. Mr. Gushing was headed for Marysvale, Panguitch, Bryce's canyon and other points south, in the interests of his company. While here he was in conference con-ference with Mayor Jones and other "boosters" relative to southern tourist tour-ist travel during the coming summer. "Southern Utah," said Mr. Cush-ing, Cush-ing, "will surely enjoy a healthy tourist travel during the coming sum. 1 mer and for years to come. Our company reveives hundreds of inquiries inquir-ies every week from eastern travelers travel-ers asking information about Bryce's, Bry-ce's, the Grand Canyon, Fish Lake and other of Utah's garden spots, and the indications point to the biggest big-gest travel to he south yet ' seen in the history of Utah. "Southern Utah, as we all know, affords the greatest variety of the grandest scenery to be found most anywhere. The playground is unlimited, unlim-ited, and when hotel accomodations are expanded at Bryce's and at the other scenjc points, the visitors will I more than double in number. And I am free to say that through the j great Gunnison Valley and Sevier ) valleys is the proper routing of the travelers. From the time you enter I J j either of these valleys you meet with : numerous towns and cities. The hotel : accomodations along the route are i splendid. Your farms are attractive j and there is one continual greeting of green fields, beautiful homes, and there is no necessity of going for miles along a desert country, barren of the handy garage for oils and supplies. sup-plies.
