Show SCHOOLS ARE EFFECTED On account of the epideic of severe se-vere colds and la grippe throughout the city, the attendance at the Washington Wash-ington public school has been materially ma-terially effected. Principal Metcalf stated Wednesday that about 7 5 pupils pu-pils from the several grades in the schools were absent and confined to j their homes on account of sickness. The sickness is clased as influenza-la j grippe, and is not regarded as seri-: seri-: ous. stated Dr. Hagan. The doctor advises extreme care when attacked by the illness and urges all afflicted to keep warm, avoid exposure, and be careful with diet. It was reported report-ed that several cases had been quarantined, quar-antined, but this is denied by Dr. I Hagan. |
