This is the substance of the order issued by the Public Utilities commission at a meeting last Friday when the many petition asking for a rehearing were taken up by thai. body. The commission recently granted the Telluride Power company permission per-mission to increase it's rates. The-two The-two farm bureaus protested on the ground that they had been improp-j eily notified, and had not had time to prepare their cases. They were nol ready to present, their cases at the time of the argument on the motion mo-tion for a rehearing. Fillmore city desired that the commission examine more closely a contract it holds with the Telluride Power company. The commission granted the motion mo-tion for a rehearing and permits the petitioners to notify the commission at. any time within six months that they are ready to go ahead with the case. No date is set, but the commission com-mission will hold itself ready to take further testimony as soon as the petitioners pe-titioners say they are ready. The new power rates will be effective ef-fective in the meantime. Furthermore, the commission suggests sug-gests that in the interim "the power company can well take the initiative in going over with the Farm Bureaus the various phases of the case, with a view to a better understanding" |
