Show Gunnison Family In Auto Collision i The Paige automobile, owned and driven by Charles Rasmussen, the Gunnison furniture man, and a Buick car, owned and driven by Peter Meyers,, Mey-ers,, of Fountain Green, figured in a! smash-up near Crystal Springs, just ! south of Manti last Sunday evening about 6:30. Both cars were traveling travel-ing at about ten miles an hour and both passed on one of the narrow culverts that are numerous on the road between Gunnison and Manti. In the Rasmussen car were eight passengers, three adults and five children, and two were in Mr. Meyer's Mey-er's car. Fortunately no one was hurt and all escaped with a good scare only. The Paige car was damaged considerably, con-siderably, the right front wheel being torn from the car and the fonder bad-ly bad-ly smashed, while the Buick suffered the loss of a running board. Mr. Rasmussen, accompanied by his wife and boy and some friends, was returning from Ephraim and when near Crystal Springs, met the Meyers car going north. At this point is a narrow culvert and both cars met at the culvert at the same time with the results above noted. Relief cars were procured and the marooned were brought to this city late Sunday evening. |
