Christensen of the Utah j Construction Company and GuyJ Sterling, surveyor, of Salt Lake City are making a survey of a reservoir site near Milburn this week. It is ihe opinion of the men that there is ample storage capacity ,in the Milburn valley to empound enough water to supply the needs of Sanpete San-pete valley and most of Juab county. These two men have been over the ground a number of times this season and Thursday while on the proposed contour line of ithe big reservoir, they took great pleasure in showing W. V. Candland of this city and McArthur of the Pyramid, the extent of the great storage capacity cap-acity so easily obtained in the basin. It was a real surprise to the visitors to look through the instruments, although al-though they knew that a reservoir site was possible at that place. It is much greater than had been expected. ex-pected. When the survey is completed by the men it will be known just what storage capacity is has. Caldwell, slate engineer, contemplate con-template utilizing waters from Law-ry Law-ry creek, Huntington, Little Clear and Tucker creeks for irrigating more than 100,000 acres of land in Sanpete and Juab valleys. The applications ap-plications filed by Mr. A. II. Christensen Chris-tensen of Salt Lake seek to divert 69,000 acre feet of water for irrigating irri-gating lands, part of which are embraced em-braced in an application made with the state engineer several months ago by the Halloran Judge Loan & Trust Company in what is known as the Gillette filing.
