Show Axtell Notes. ! i (Special Correspondence.) j Axtell, May 11. The Relief So-! ciety tendered a surprise to Mrs. , Josie Jensen Tuesday afternoon of last week. Following a brief ineet- ing of the society and a social time, luncheon was served to twenty-one guests. j Parent's Day was held at the Ax-I Ax-I tell school May 4 and many of the I ! parents were present. George Christensen of Council Bluffs, Iowa, was the guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jakes Jacob-sen Jacob-sen several days last week. The Primary officers of the Axtell Ax-tell ward entertained at the home of Mrs. R. J. Frandsen last Thursday Thurs-day in honor of Mrs. Frandsen and Miss Leah Christensen, retiring officers. of-ficers. Following a soc.al time a delicious luncheon was served. George Christensen left for Driggs, Idaho, last Sunday. He will spend the summer there with his brother, Raymond Christensen. The Sixth, Seventh and Eighth grades of the Axtell carried out a successful surprise party at the home of Royal Whitlock, principal of the school. |
