Show V V 1 . . i 3 i 4fc LOCAL ITEMS OF INTEREST. Mrs. Floyd A. Beck is -visiting with her parents at Salina today. J. S. Peterson, contractor and merchant of this city, spent the first days of the week at Salt Lake looking' look-ing' after important business matters. Chas. Rasmussen, Leo D. Bardsley, Clyde Whitlock and Miss Evans, returned re-turned Sunday from a trip to Salt Lake. They were conference visitors. Mrs. R. H. Winder, who has been the house guest at the home of Mayor May-or and Mrs. J. W. Jones for the past week, will return to her home at Salt Lake .tomorrow morning. Moroni Childs has returned from a motor trip to Hiawatha and Salt Lake City. He visited with his daughter, Mrs. R. Edwards at the Carbon city, and later motored to the capitol city. Mrs. Frank Olsen and daughter, who have been visiting with Mrs. Olsen's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Caro-lus Caro-lus at Bozeman, Mont., during the past summer, returned to their home in Gunnison Sunday evening. Mrs. C. P. Jensen and daughter, Ruth, will leave for Salt Lake City- the first of the coming week and ex- pect to be absent some time. Ruth will enter a special school and will take special training during the winter. Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo Jensen of Ax-tell Ax-tell are rejoicing over the arrival of a fine baby girl at their home. The baby was born last Friday and all concerned are doing nicely. Mrs. L. G. Arnold and children, are the guests of friends and relatives at Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Larson and children of Manti, spent the weekend week-end as the guests at the home 01 Mr .and Mrs. Charles Nielson. Mr. Larson called at the News, office, left the little pin and a $2 check and insisted in-sisted on keeping this paper a constant con-stant visitor at his home for the next year. Mr. and Mrs. Niel Sorenson entertained enter-tained at a dancing party at their home Tuesday evening for Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Howard, Mr. and Mrs Hai-t Sanders, Dr. and Mrs. J. A Hagan, Mayor and Mrs. J. W. Jones and L. G. Arnold. Following a delightful de-lightful evening at. dancing a "dutch" lunch was enjoyed. Mrs. R. C. Morman, Ronald Clydi Norman, and Mrs. H. T. Wright, were travelers to Salt Lake yesterday morning. Mrs. Norman will be absent ab-sent until Sunday and will visit with her sister, Mrs. W. B. McCormack Mrs. Wright expects to leave foi Sherman, Calif., the first of the wee!-where wee!-where she will join her husband and take up her permanent residence. |
