Show Mr. and Mrs. Ben Peterson were the delightful host and hostess at a big dinner party Thanksgiving day. Thirty-seven guests were present and enjoyed the big annual dinner. McLaren Peterson returned to Yermo, Calif., Sunday, after spending spend-ing a few days visiting with his parents par-ents in this city. He has a good job as carpenter at the California town, i Mrs. F. K. Alworth, and son, Tom, who spent a week visiting with Mrs. ' Alworth's parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. j A. Kearns, have returned to their home at Filer, Idaho. J. T. Jones came in from Widstoe the first of the week. He reports the finishing touches on the big ir-1 rigation system at Widstoe as hav-! j ing been made and that further work ' ,has been suspended for the winter. Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Winder of Salt Lake City, were the dinner guests at the home of Mayor and Mrs. J. W. Jones Thanksgiving day. Mr. Winder returned to the capitol city Friday and Mrs. Winder is spending the major portion of this week visit-with visit-with her daughter, Mrs. Jones. .y. :f. .v; $ I , LOCAL ITEMS OF ! INTEREST. Mayor J. W. Jones returned last evening from a business visit to Salt Lake. Vada Peterson visited with friends at Ephraim the latter part of last week. Miss Ella Gribble has returned from a brief visit to friends at Salt , Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Beauregard spent Thanksgiving with Dr. and Mrs. F. W. Tuttle at Manti. Marenius Beauregard and J. W. Edwards spent a few days this week at Salt Lake looking after important business matters. Mr. and Mrs. Roland Tietjen and . daughters, of Monroe, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. M. D. Beauregard Wednesday of this week. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Kidman spent Thanksgiving day with relatives at Mt. Pleasant. They returned home Saturday evening. Miss Bei-nice Okerlund of Salina was the week-end guest of Miss Af-ton Af-ton Dack. Miss Okerlund returned to her home Sunday. Roger Felt, who has been assisting Ira Overfelt in the duties at the railroad rail-road station, left for his home at Manti Friday of last week. Misses Rilla Kearns and Dorris Ainsworth, left for San Francisco, Calif., after a month's visit at the home of Mr. and Mrs. II. A. Kearns. |
