Show PLANT SHADE TREES ON THE FARM A few farmers have made an effort ef-fort to have beautiful surroundings. Many are satified with a wire fence as the chief decoration for the farm. It is so easy to plant good, permanent, hardwood shade trees and so little attention is necessary thereafter that it seems a pity that every farmstead in the country does not have a few trees. The difference between a beautiful beau-tiful home and a barren farm may be simply the difference between a few hours work and the lack of it. Two or three trees often add hundreds hun-dreds of dollars to the selling pi ice of a home. We hope all the peo.de in the state will take an increased interest in-terest in the planting of good shade trees and ornamental shrubs so that future generations may have beauty instead of ugliness.
