I Officials of tlie Commercial club , and members of the club advertising: and publicity committee lound this out Saturday when over fifty an- j swers to advertisements placed in twenty leading newspapers throughout through-out the country were received, says the Salt Lake Telegram. The advertisements appeared in the newspapeis on .May 23 and the: large number of a.'-.-i .vers and in- lunies already received convince the commercial ciub ofticials that they will be widely read throughout the territory covered by tiie twenty publications pub-lications and thai real results in bringing tourists and settlers to Salt Lake and Utah will acrue. The ads carry the topline "See Utah the Wonderland," with 'Salt Lake City, the Center of Scenic America" at the botom. They carry the statement that free booklets on the scenic, mining and agricultural resources and attractions of Utah may be secured by writing the Salt Lake Commercial club. The booklets book-lets are being distributed under the supervision of the advertising and publicity commitee, which is handling the publicity campaign for the city and state. Several of the letters received say that the writer and others intend to visit Salt Lake this summer. Others ask that the booklets be sent them, stating that the writer is interested in the state and its resources. Similar ads will be placed at intervals in-tervals in the newspapers. |
