Show "FLU" AGAIN BREAKS OUT AT CENTERFIELD OTHER NEWS A number of "flu" cases are reported re-ported in and about Centerfield. All cases reported are in a light form and thoso who have been stricken are progressing nicely. On account of the late season and with pleasant weather during the past week, it has been a busy jession with the farmers of the Centerfield district. With crops planted, however, how-ever, there was a rush and a big demand for water for irrigation purposes. pur-poses. The rain the first of the week did much to assist in saving work, and will prove most valuable to the farmers. Chas. II. Embley, while at work in his field last week, was stricken with sciatica, and it was necessary for him to be assisted to his heme by Andrew B. Anderson. Mr. Embley sulTtred much pain as a result of the attack, but his many frisridj are ph ased to know that he is .ib.e to resume re-sume his work. Mi. and Mrs. C. P. Tree motored to Clearfield last Saturday. Mr. Tree returned Monday and Mrs. Tree and Daughter will remain soma time visiting with her parents, Mr, and MYs. Jesse Barlow. Mothers' day" was fittingly observed ob-served and the mothers royally en tertained by the officers of the Sunday Sun-day school at the meeting house lart Sunday. An appropriate program was given and the mothers present were each presented with carnations by the young girls In a drill conducted by Miss Aroha Embley. The Sabbath Sab-bath school session in the morning, as was the sacramental service in the afternoon, were along the lines appropriate to the observance of the day. Riley Thompson and Miss Fay Johnson of Scipio, who were married at the Manti temple Wednesday of this week, have been the house guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Bardsley. Mr. Thompson is a brother to Mrs. E. H. Bardsley. Thursday of last week, members of the Relief society to the number of fifty-one met at the home of Mrs. Cale Hone for a cheer and comfort party, as the affair proved to be. A most enjoyable time was had in social so-cial chat and eating the bounteous picnic taken to the home by the guests. Mrs. Hone was presented with a complete infant's outfit, three new dresses for herself and several bottles of delicious fruit, and in addition ad-dition to these a purse of $30 was presented to her. |
