Show BOYS ASSESSED FIXE David Roberts, giving his home place at Kanosh, and John Day of Monticello were arrested in Gunnison, Gunni-son, charged with drunkenness and having "white mule" whisky in their possession. The arrest was made by J. C. Carlston, deputy sheriff. The deputy found evidence in the way of whisky, and at the hearing which was held before Justice of the Peace Reube Christensen, a fine of $50 each was assessed .to the violators of the Volsted act. Leniency was shown the your.g men, as one is married, and the other pleaded poverty. County Coun-ty Attorney Jensen, who prosecuted the cases, has stated that "moonshin- ing" must stop, and to this end a close watch is to be made. j |
