Show Complete Work on Proposed Railroad H. S. Kerr, chief engineer for the Central Utah railroad, came in from Provo, headquarters for the company, com-pany, last Sunday evening. Mr. Ken-will Ken-will be here and at Salina canyon for a month or more, making a few changes in the survey of the road and compiling other data to be used in the application for the certificate of necessity and convenience to be submitted sub-mitted to' the interstate commerce commission and the state utility commission. com-mission. "There are a few changes to be made in the survey line north of Cedar Ridge," said Mr. Kerr to a News man yesterday. "However, this will only require a few days' work, and following the completion of this our forces will be removed to Salina canyon. We will be stationed at the canyon for the balance of June and the survey for the proposed line will be made to conform to the very best grades and the most convenient route. "The requirements of the interstate inter-state commerce commission in the preparation of the application of the certificate of convenience and necessity neces-sity ,are most exacting and every. detail de-tail must be included before it is submitted sub-mitted to that body. With the completion com-pletion of the data to be secured in Salina canyon and a brief period of office work, the application will be ready to forward to Washington. This will be done at the earliest possible moment." |
